Careys Building and Civil Engineering was appointed to extend the existing carpark, install attenuation systems for storm drainage and construct 220m of adoptable public roadway linking to an existing roundabout on the N56 Letterkenny to Kilmacrennan national road. The works involved diversion of overhead ESB services in advance of the main contract works. Access was maintained at all times to the failities adjacent the car park extension at Pramerica and SIKA.
We also resurfaced a large section of the existing roadway and realigned the entrance to the site from the N56 when the second entrance was installed and made live. All hard and soft landscaping works were included in our package, as well as live services diversions of ESB, Eircom and Donegal Co Co Watermains.
The watermain was installed along the adoptable section of road from the Windyhall roundabout and tied into live watermains at either end of the diversion by Donegal Co Co. Our team was also responsible for the installation, chlorination and testing of the 220m PE100 SDR11 diversion and providing civils attendances to the local authority for the connection works to the existing mains.
